FYI – scroll below for a glimpse of some of our events last year…

Here are a few of the workshops, lectures & other presentations we put on last year to educate others about monarchs and what you can do to help them. The Trimbelle River Studio Building, 214 W. Main St., in Ellsworth, WI is a location where we will sometimes throw spontaneous events. It’s a short drive – either across the river from neighboring Red Wing, MN – or on our side of the Mississippi from River Falls, Prescott and Hudson. And we are only 45 min. from the Twin Cities, so you can check us out on your way to grab some of our famous Ellsworth cheese curds (you’ll go right past our building). Here are some of the classes we offered last year at this location.

Monarch Gardens & Waystations – lectures and workshops focusing on creating gardens that provide necessary resources to protect monarch habitats; also setting up and qualifying for Monarch Waystations.

Educational Monarch Releases (these are not mass releases like weddings) – various stages of monarchs are presented along with a variety of fun and educational facts. Get a close up view as a select number of butterflies are released. Fall releases include tagging.

Rearing Monarchs – what it really takes to raise a monarch from a caterpillar, along with some helpful hints.

Assorted Hands-on Art Workshops & Sales Events – fun creative classes and sales events, all related to raising monarch awareness and support. Classes include creating jewelry, household & garden items.
